Amanda’s Story
It has long been a dream of Amanda Smith to provide greatly needed health care to the elderly population. Her driving force is based in sincere compassion and love. She saw a desperate need in her years of nursing that she just could not shake the desire to provide for. She has poured forth everything she has into two homes for this purpose. One in Staunton and one in Harrisonburg. Her aim is to provide outstanding care for a liveable monthly fee that will serve many who cannot afford the demands of the current local community of assistance. She will do our assessment professionally and passionately committed to give you the best care possible.

About Us
As we begin to move through retirement the desire to maintain a home becomes a harder task when our bodies age. Family still raising young children and their busy lives sometimes cannot filter the needs we have. Assisted living offers a way to maneuver through some these challenges. We want the warmth and independent living of home without the hassle. Then we must consider the physical help we need as we transition into our golden years.
Horizon Assisted Living, like it’s name looks towards the future and focuses on making this transition an enjoyable advancement. We will help you maintain a healthy lifestyle and take the burden of responsibilities towards bills, physical, and medical needs. A home with assistance and independent living in a close knit family like environment. You will no doubt develop relationships that you will treasure during the experience.
